Continuing on with the one feature a day, today’s feature will be the music player in TouchFLO 3D. The interface looks very similar (stressing very) to Apple’s CoverFlow. However, it has also been compared to Flip3D in Windows Vista. Either way, the interface is very nice and easy to use. Flicking your finger up goes forward on the playlist while flicking your finger down goes back.
At this point, I’m not sure if the underlying app for this music player is a custom build by HTC like the Audio Manager in the original HTC Touch or if it is actually using Windows Media Player. It sure doesn’t look like WMP, though. When navigating the your Library from TouchFLO 3D, you immediately notice it being styled after TouchFLO with the banner at the bottom and the easy to control selections, as shown below:
Now Playing list, Albums, and Artists:
Additionally to the Now Playing, Album, and Artist views above, you can also sort by Playlists, All Songs, Genres, Composers, and Purchased Music.
As mentioned in the previous article, the headphones that come with the Diamond are amazing. The sound quality is very crisp, especially with songs with higher bit rates. Even at the lowest volume setting, songs were pretty loud, but not enough to damage your ears or annoy people around you. As you get to higher volume settings, it’s probably safer to use them more like speakers than as headphones, as they work in short range well.

hahaa… I actually liked the idea of feature a day. Too bad it was short lives with only two entries…
I vote for a revival!

Don’t worry, the feature of the day will still continue! I usually write them towards the end of the day when I have more time.
